The ALANA DAC Development

DAC Format

The ALANA Project operates within a multi-layered structure that ultimately aims to establish a Decentralized Autonomous Company (DAC). While our goal is to transition into a fully functional DAC, it is essential to note that we are currently in the process of development and not yet operating as a DAC. We recognize that the concept of working together and holding shares in a decentralized manner is still emerging in many parts of the world. Additionally, individuals may require time to adapt and embrace this new working method.

As such, we have designed a comprehensive long-term development plan comprising three distinct phases. This plan includes adopting various tools and specific integrations currently being developed to support our growth and evolution.

Phase°1

Phase°1 marks the significant milestone of incorporating The ALANA Project in Peru. This decision was the result of thorough research and careful consideration of various options. After an extensive evaluation process, The ALANA Project SAC was officially established as a legally recognized entity in June 2023, granting it the authority to engage in activities and enter into contracts in accordance with Peruvian Law. The share distribution of the company adheres to legal requirements, with the founder Stella Achenbach holding 99% ownership and the legal advisor holding 1%. However, the current voting process is being conducted through Discord, adhering to the principle of one vote per voice. Contributions are tracked and recorded on our DeWork leaderboard (NFTs for task completion are issued on-chain), paving the way for the implementation of a Dynamic Shareholder Agreement in the future.

While this arrangement may not align with our ultimate goal of establishing a Decentralized Autonomous Company (DAC), it served as a necessary step toward advancing to Phase°2 of our development plan.

Phase°2

Phase°2 marks a significant milestone in our journey by bringing crucial components on-chain, thereby enhancing transparency and accessibility while fostering stronger connections between project participants and their respective communities. At the heart of this transformation lies the Multidimensional Passport (MDP) and an on-chain Consensus Agreement, both minted to ensure accountability and facilitate collaboration.

The Dynamic Shareholder Agreement is a direct result of data collected on the MDP and will be determined by the proportion of contributions held by individuals in relation to their standings on the leaderboard. This innovative approach allows for a fair and dynamic distribution of ownership based on active participation and involvement.

The Multidimensional Passport (MDP) serves as a comprehensive record-keeping system, leveraging its Oracle functionality to aggregate and store various on-chain data. This dynamic NFT not only strengthens community bonds but also functions as a safety net, providing a secure framework for a more inclusive and interconnected ecosystem.

Phase°3

Phase°3 signifies a crucial milestone in our project's evolution and growth trajectory. Building upon the valuable insights and achievements garnered from the preceding phases, Phase°3 will introduce a suite of strategic initiatives that prioritize the well-being and security of our community members. At The ALANA Project, we firmly believe in the ethical obligation of companies to foster a supportive and nurturing environment for their contributors.

In Phase°3, we aim to incorporate AMM-like functionalities to establish Liquidity Pools dedicated to safeguarding the financial future and health provisions of our team members. These pools will serve as a vital resource, ensuring that employees have access to health insurance and pension benefits when they reach a stage where they are unable to sustain active contributions. The allocation of dynamic shares accumulated by individuals during their active tenure within the pool system will determine the extent of coverage and remuneration they receive.

In this final phase, we are steadfast in our objective to streamline governance processes by leveraging the power of blockchain technology. Our intention is to migrate a significant portion of The ALANA Project's operations onto the blockchain, aligning with our commitment to transparency, efficiency, and decentralized decision-making. By embracing the on-chain paradigm wherever applicable and logical, we aim to create a robust and trustless framework that empowers our community members and ensures the integrity of our project's activities.

It is important to note that Phase°3 is still in the development phase, and a definitive plan has yet to be finalized to a satisfactory degree. We remain committed to diligently refining and crafting this stage to ensure its efficacy and alignment with our overarching vision.

Country of Incorporation

The decision to incorporate The ALANA Project, which involves web3 technology and is close to the crypto space, in Peru before other countries were based on several factors and strategic considerations. Peru, as a country, has shown promising signs of embracing digital innovation and fostering an environment conducive to the adoption of emerging technologies.

With its growing tech-interested population and a government that has not shown a closed mind to exploring blockchain and crypto-related initiatives, Peru presents a unique opportunity for our project to thrive. By establishing a presence in Peru early on, we aim to leverage the country's evolving digital landscape and position ourselves as pioneers in the intersection of web3 technology and learning. This strategic position allows us to interact with South American-based stakeholders, forge partnerships with relevant entities, and contribute to the overall development of the digital ecosystem in South America.
